Acer palmatum ‘Isobel’ found and introduce
by Dick van der Maat Japanese maple nursery
A bright pink-red “spring flowering” cultivar, and similar in shape and size to the well-known ‘Deshojo’.
It differs in the variable -shappedd palmatum-type leaves which can be small and crinkly with narrow lobes to large very broad-lobed leaves.
The leaves slowly become green with bronzed margins for the summer , turning orange -red in fall.
